Upper Trinity Groundwater Conservation District- Public Hearing and Board Meeting

We encourage everyone to attend the Upper Trinity Groundwater Conservation District's Public Hearing and Board Meeting on Thursday October 15, 2026 at  5:00 PM at the District Office 1859 W. Highway 199 Springtown, TX 76082 

The Upper Trinity Groundwater Conservation District is currently reviewing a major permit application submitted by Spunky LLC (use Permit ID 116-H). This Item will be on the Oct 15th UTGCD Board Meeting. If approved, this permit could allow massive amounts of groundwater to be pumped from our local (Trinity) aquifer. We believe this level of extraction poses an immediate risk to our water table, private wells, and the long-term ecological balance of our region. Additionally if this water well permit is approved through the UTGCD, it would allow Pacifico to reapply or appeal to Hood County for concept and site plan approval moving their project forward.
